Autumn and Winter Guided Walks – Sat October 2 – Sat December 18 2021 (Ely, Cambs) Returning for the Autumn and Early Winter months, the fabulous Guided Tours of Ely promise to delight. Depending on the day you book, you can experience one of the following tours with our expert guides. Includes the following

Winter Walks

 

The tour schedule is available on the booking link - Please note, Tours are subject to change should the need arise. Where possible, we will inform you on time.

  

 All tours start from Oliver Cromwell's House at 2pm - the Exception to this being - October 10, beginning at 11am. All tickets are priced at £8

 

  • Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift & Food Fair – Wed November 17 to Sat November 20 2021

 

The Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift & Food Fair is back!

Described by Country Living Magazine as 'A lovely event to start the festive season. This annual event is widely acknowledged as one of East Anglia's exceptional Christmas shopping experiences.

 

For the first time, the grounds surrounding the Cathedral will be incorporated into the Christmas Fair experience.

    • 30pm - 9pm - Preview Evening
  • Thursday, November 18
    • 30am - 1pm | 1pm - 4.30pm
  • Friday, November 19
    • 9am - 10am - Exclusive entry for 'shoppers with wheels'
    • 10am - 1pm | 1pm - 4.30pm
    • 30pm - 9pm
  • Saturday, November 20
    • 30am - 1pm | 1pm - 4.30pm

 

A great family day with lots of additional attractions within the Cathedral grounds.

Groups & Coaches must book in advance via our dedicated Groups Co-ordinator on 01353 660359.

 On booking your ticket, a wristband will be sent in the post. This is your event ticket; please wear it on arrival at the Christmas Fair to ensure quick entry into the Cathedral.

 

  • Festive Wreath Workshop – Thursday, December 2 by Popup blooms! (Ely, Cambs) 

 

 Paula from the beautiful 'popup blooms' will be demonstrating her talent! Come and join us at Oliver Cromwell's House and make your very own NATURAL Festive Wreath. All the materials and refreshments are provided. No previous experience is required, Paula will guide you step-by-step, and you create your very own masterpiece!

Booking is essential as only eight spaces, and we have a special offer if you would like a pair of tickets! One ticket is £55.00 and two £90.00 - so bring a friend!

  • The Cambridge Jazz Festival – November 11 to November 26 2021

  • Christmas Felt Workshop, Wicken Fen – November 11. 

 

Learn the ancient art of felt making and create your own Christmas decorations at Wicken Fen on Saturday, November 11. Create bespoke one-off pieces which will hang lovingly and proudly around your house.

 

If you fancy going to this workshop and channelling your inner felt elf, tickets will cost £35, including materials.

Cambridge Jazz Festival

 

  • Driving Miss Daisy 

 

Starring Sian Phillips and Derek Griffiths, this feature is about an elderly widow's relationship with her chauffeur. The story covers a 25-year backdrop of prejudice, inequality and civil unrest, a profound and life-altering friendship blossoms in this acclaimed comedy-drama.

This play will warm your heart and make you fall in love with the theatre all over again.
